The Youth Service Bureau operates an alternative school. The school is available for High School students who may have been suspended, expelled or are not benefiting from the traditional school setting. There are no direct referrals to the program, referrals are accepted only from the school corporations.
At capacity, the high school provides on-line education for 30 students. The focus is on credit recovery to help students move toward graduation. Students work at their own pace under the supervision of a licensed teacher. The school offers an opportunity for youth who may not otherwise be able to complete their high school education. We also have an alternative school for all three middle schools, which at capacity can provide on-line education for 10 students. This school is certified by the Indiana Department of Education.
