How long have you lived in Montgomery County? I live in Putnam County but have been involved with MCDWTS for 2 years. I participated in Putnam County DWTS for 7 of the 10 years.
​
What do you do for fun in your spare time? I hang out with my children and grandkids. I "walk" to stay in shape and dance whenever possible.​
​
Tell us about your family. I have 5 children, 13 grandchildren and #3 great grandchild due in May. I'm very close to my brothers and sisters who live in Ohio and Kentucky.

What is your dance background? A dear friend of mine introduced me to Middle Eastern Dance 20 years ago and 15 years of that was spent performing professionally in Indianapolis. I taught, choreographed and met the most wonderful ladies and some gentlemen in this business. My oldest daughter was a ballroom instructor in Indy and then moved to Columbus Ohio. While she was here in Greencastle we would dance together, she taught me to follow the technique of many dances. For the last 10 years, I take private and group lessons in Terre Haute with my fantastic instructor. I was fortunate to be a member of the Putnam County DWTS for 7 years.

What is your favorite genre of music to dance to? Foxtrot {the Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett era} and West Coast Swing followed by Rumba

Why did you decide to participate in this Youth Service Bureau fundraiser? I participate because it's important to "give back" and help children in any community to succeed. If what I love to do, which is dance, contributes to raising monies needed for programs for these children then I'm all in.

Why should the public come to this event and support you and your partner? The public should come out and support the youth in their community and the folks who work at the Youth Services Bureau for all the amazing work they do. Our Stars work so hard and step way out of their comfort zone to put on a great show for this wonderful cause. The time, energy, and fun, yes we have fun , is something the public must come and see for themselves. This will be my 3rd year with Montgomery County, my partners have been fantastic people with hearts as big as gold. I can promise that a night with MCDWTS will be worth your time, you will laugh, applaud, and be entertained like you have never seen before. It is an evening you will remember with a smile on your face!
