Katie Wallace

Katie Wallace has lived in Putnum County for 29 years. She is retired. When she is not dancing, she is with her kids and grandchildren going to baseball games, movies, or whatever they have going on. Katie has five children, 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren in Florida. Her background in dance is extensive. She was introduced to Middle Eastern Dance 20 years ago and spent 12 years doing that. She has been a ballroom dancer for 15 years. She also teaches and choreographs. She was a member of the Putnam County Dancing with the Stars for 7 years, and this is her 4th year with Dancing with the Montgomery County Stars. Katie’s favorite music to dance is the Big Band era, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and those great performers. Foxtrot is her all-time favorite dance. Katie participates in the YSB fundraiser because, “It's a wonderful event, a chance for me to give back to the community and raise money for children. I've met the most wonderful people. The stars are fantastic, all of whom work so hard for this one night to support the YSB.” She thinks the public should come to the event for two reasons: to raise money and because it’s a night of great entertainment and fun.
