Ashley Kight

Ashley Kight is a first grade teacher at Pleasant Hill Elementary School. She has lived in Montgomery County her whole life. For fun, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, exercising, traveling and trying new restaurants. Her husband David is also a teacher and teaches at Fountain Central Jr/Sr High. They have 3 children...Will (14), Claire (9) and Ainsley (8) who keep them quite busy. They also have 2 dogs-Grayson and Rizzo and a cat-Maxwell House! Ashley took dance lessons as a child at Steven's Dance Academy which is now the Crawfordsville Academy of Dance. She was also involved in show choir in junior high and high school. She decided to participate in the Youth Service Bureau Fundraiser because, she said, “I have seen the positive impact the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau has had on my students. The Youth Service Bureau has so many different programs that help support the youth in our community. I am able to serve our kids in the classroom, but I love being able to help raise money for our kids through this event. I absolutely love performing and it's so fun teaching my partner a dance and to see their excitement as well.” Ashley wants the public to come to this event and support her and Cody. She stated, “My partner Cody and I both love serving and helping others. He says he's a bit nervous as this is WAY out of his comfort zone. That's my favorite part...teaching someone that just doesn't see what I see in them. I love seeing the growth and excitement as we near showtime. This event allows the community to come together for a night out to support the Montgomery County Youth Service Bureau.”
