Georgia Taylor

Occupation: Dance Instructor and performer, and an EPN ambassador.

How long have you lived in Montgomery County? I have lived in Crawfordsville for going on 20 years.

What do you do for fun in your spare time? I enjoy painting, sketching, scrapbooking, playing video games, trying new restaurants with my husband, sun bathing, and snuggling with my 6 cats.

Tell us about your family.I am the eldest of 7 in my family, with 3 sisters and 3 brothers. My parents are from Florida, met in Georgia, hence my name, and then moved to Indiana.

What is your dance background? I have taken classes studying Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Tap at the Crawfordsville Academy of Dance for going on 18 seasons. Roughly 9 of those seasons I auditioned and got into the CAD Dance Company, where i had the privilege of performing extra pieces with more advanced choreography. I have also had the privilege and joy of teaching classes and choreographing Company pieces with my fellow instructors for going on 4 seasons. During my time at CAD, i have enjoyed performing at this Dancing With The Stars event, as well as at the 4H Fair of Montgomery County.  I studied at a different dance school for one season as well, because my family moved away for a short period of time, and then I continued my classes at CAD when we moved back.

What is your favorite genre of music to dance to? I truly enjoy dancing to all sorts of genres of music. To me it's more about the technique or the artist im dancing in the given choreography.

Why did you decide to participate in this Youth Service Bureau fundraiser? I decided to perform for this event again because of how important it is to me that all children receive love, kindness, and help in their troubles.

Why should the public come to this event and support you and your partner? Everyone should come to this event because its FUN! Besides there being a nice meal and an exciting dance performance to watch, its all for a great cause! What better way to spend your time than helping out our upcoming generations?
